This series addresses the experience of illness, loss, trauma, survivorship, and the inspiration that can follow. From coping to surviving to living and thriving; in each session, educational information will be provided along with sharing of personal stories from the keynote speaker and/or other guests who will address the topic at hand. Time for a question and answer period will be provided.

Topic: New Beginnings from Crisis
Keynote Speaker: Alice Gorman
Alice Bingham Gorman has been coming to Boca Grande since 1972 and has been a resident since 1999. She holds an MFA in writing from Spalding University and a Doctor of Fine Arts honorary degree from the Memphis College of Art. Alice will share her growth in the creative spirit through her experience of loss: divorce, remarriage, suicide, cancer and widowhood. She is filled with gratitude for her survival and all the blessings of this life, especially for her friends and family, three children, four stepchildren, six grandchildren and ten stepgrandchildren.
