History Bytes – The Sprott Ladies and Their Family History

Jennifer Burch and her sisters, Melynda Read, Ruth Amen and Donette Gonia tell their family history as fourth generation members of one of the historic island families, the Sprotts as  well as the Pounceys and the Clarks.  These families ran the ferry service to Boca Grande, owned several of the smaller hotels, worked at the Gasparilla Inn and now own the Ariel and the Palm on Park (Lilly Pulitzer store).  They say their mother was a great story teller and they continue that tradition with this History Byte.
