Color Theory & Practice

For artists wishing to learn more about color characteristics and interactions.  A series of color perception, mixing and composition exercises will help artists gain more confidence in using color in their work.  Light and pigment primaries, the color wheel, discerning color value and saturation, simultaneous and successive contrast, use of color harmonies, and sharpening one’s sensitivity to color will be the subjects of study.  Bring your own oil, acrylic, watercolor or gouache pigments or purchase materials from instructor.  All experience levels are welcome.

A supply list will be provided on registration.    Maximum # of students: 12    $60 paper, brushes and pigment
