A.J. Baime is a New York Times Bestselling author, an award-winning journalist, a public speaker, and occasional on-screen personality. In addition to The Accidental President, his books include The Arsenal of Democracy: FDR, Detroit, and an Epic Quest to Arm an America at War (2014, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt) and Go Like Hell: Ford, Ferrari, and Their Battle for Speed and Glory at Le Mans (2009, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt). Both these latter books are in development as major motion pictures, and both won the Ken Purdy Award as best piece of writing of the year, from the International Motor Press Association. A.J. is also a weekly columnist for the Wall Street Journal.
