Basics of Alzheimer’s disease and related Dementia

The presentation will begin with a brief history of how Alzheimer’s disease (AD) was discovered. We will cover brain and typical age-related changes versus problematic changes that indicate the need for physician follow up. Dementia and the stages and symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease will also be defined and discussed, including current research.
