Boca Grande Live!: The Gulfshore Tenors

Teddy Collins, originally from Ohio, came to Naples six years ago having never had any musical experience or training. He started training with Steffanie Pearce in 2013 and is one of the original members of the Gulfshore Tenors. Teddy has performed secondary roles in professional productions with Gulfshore opera and enjoys many local performance opportunities with GO and at various churches.
Gianni Vitiello, this 18 year old resident of Naples has been training hard all summer to make his Gulfshore tenors debut. He is a new member of the GO Emerging Artists Program. Gianni is proud to follow in his Italian grandfathers footsteps, who was a real Neapolitan tenor.
Fernando Gonzales, This Cuban baritone now living in Miami, has been seen working with companies such as Cuba National Opera; Florida Grand Opera, Vero Beach Opera and Palm Beach Opera. His rich repertoire includes Zarzuella and Spanish song as well as many famous opera scenes.
Alejandro Viera, Tenor, received his Bachelor in Music from New World School of the Arts in South Florida. He performs regularly with Florida Grand Opera and Miami Lyric Opera as well as St Petersburgh Opera. Last season he was seen as one the disciples in Saint Matthew Passion with Gulfshore Opera
Laura Friesen, pianist and coach – Resident Artist Program Director Laura Friesen obtained her Masters of Vocal Accompaniment and Chamber Music Degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Continuing to enjoy a long and ongoing career as a highly successful Operatic Coach and Pianist, Ms. Friesen has spent the past 10 years with various opera companies in the United States, Canada and Europe in addition to various international summer opera festivals. Before working with Gulfshore Opera, she was principal Coach at the Virginia Opera and was also Musical Director of their Emerging Artist program.
