Since 1400, crucial turning points have jolted the world’s modern history. These critical moments and the waves of change they unleash have defined what makes modern history different from all that preceded it.  All these transformative moments have one basic thing in common: they sparked profound changes in how humans viewed their world.  This course tracks turning points in the areas of politics, science, social transformation, technology, economics and the military. A video presentation by Professor Vejas Gabriel Liulevicius from the University of Tennessee will be followed by a discussion. Course content is from The Great Courses educational series.

There is no charge to attend but you must pre-register. A maximum of 15 participants will be accepted.
