Sammy Figueroa has long been regarded as one of the world’s great musicians. As a much-admired percussionist, he has played on countless records and is well-known for his versatility in a multitude of musical styles. His performance takes the audience on an intense harmonic and rhythmic musical experience. Take a ride as they turn up the energy with fast paced improvisations and slow it down with smooth melodic tunes. No doubt Figueroa is the heart and soul of the band, but he allows the outstanding musicians of the Latin Jazz Ensemble to shine.
