Alzheimer’s currently affects 5.3 million Americans and 44 million worldwide, according to the Alzheimer’s Association. Unless a cure is found, more than 16 million Americans will have the disease by 2050. In this session, learn about ways to reduce the risk of memory loss and protect the brain, and receive information on the latest research into Alzheimer’s disease, including details on current clinical research trials being done here in Southwest Florida. Located in Fort Myers, the Neuropsychiatric Research Center of Southwest Florida has conducted over 130 FDA-approved clinical research trials since 2001 related to neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders.
