One of the most sough-after drummers, Ulysses Owens Jr. sets the mark. Heralded as a “powerhouse of a showman” (Glide Magazine), a “legitimate jazz triple threat” (Critical Jazz) and a drummer who “take[s] a back seat to no one” (The New York Times), performer, producer and educator Ulysses Owens Jr. goes the limit in the jazz world and beyond. He has been mentoring Juilliard students for several years, and with the Generation Y band, he selects the best of the best, giving them a platform to shine. Generation Y is a quintet full of the most dynamic young jazz musicians on the scene under 30 years old. Following in the footsteps of Art Blakey and Betty Carter, Ulysses drives and inspires these young musicians through collaboration on standards and originals in the hard-bop tradition. This dynamic group will remind audiences of the power of Jazz Tradition while demonstrating that the future of Jazz is in good hands.

Season ticket subscriptions are currently filled for the 5:00pm and 8:00pm show. Individual tickets may become available prior to each performance. Tickets are nonrefundable. Please let us know 72 hours in advance if you have given tickets to a friend or are unable to attend, as there is a waiting list in place.
