Dr. Robert Weisberg is Retired-Emeritus and Distinguished University Professor at the College of Marine Science, USF. He serves as Co-Director of the Coastal Ocean Modeling and Prediction System, COMPS, and the Southeast Coastal Ocean Observing Regional Association, SECOORA and as a member of Southeastern Universities Research Association, SURA, and Coastal and Environmental Research Program, CERP. As a physical oceanographer engaged in ocean circulation and ocean-atmosphere interaction studies that presently emphasize the West Florida Continental Shelf and its estuaries, Dr. Weisberg uses real-time, in-situ observations and numerical circulation models to describe and understand the processes that control these water bodies. Recent applications include harmful algal blooms, hurricane storm surge and waves, tracking of oil, fisheries recruitment, forensic studies, and other topics of societal concern. He earned a B.S. in Engineering at Cornell University and M.S. and PhD degrees in Physical Oceanography at URI and earned the Distinguished University Professor designation at USF in 2007.

Nicole Iadevaia
Nicole Iadevaia currently serves as the Director of Research & Restoration of the Coastal & Heartland National Estuary Partnership, CHNEP. This role oversees CHNEP’s work on research and restoration project management as well as public engagement to protect water resources and habitat in Central and Southwest Florida and serves as the staff liaison to the CHNEP Technical and Citizens Advisory Committees. She has a background in research science as well as environmental communication and policy. She was previously a principal investigator for the Florida Wildlife Research Institute – Fisheries Independent Monitoring and smalltooth sawfish research programs. Her experience in water quality includes project management, data collection and analysis for several surface water quality projects,- including stormwater and seagrass monitoring for the EPA NPDES program.
