Keynote Speakers: Tim Dumas & Edie Gardner
Tim Dumas has been coming to Boca Grande since 1994. He was a resident for over 20 years before relocating to Venice with his wife, Dorsey, a real estate agent at Michael Saunders here in Boca Grande. With 30 years of experience as a Branch Manager and Financial Advisor, Tim has seen it all. He will focus on common financial scams and practical ways to avoid them. His experience draws from his time as a Branch Manager and supervisor in several different cities around the United States. Tim leads a private wealth management practice out of Sarasota and is part of the Dumas/Goodbody Group, a multi-family office practice within the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch.
Edie Gardner has been coming to Boca Grande since 1988, but she is no stranger to other parts of Florida as well. Her career began as a registered nurse, but her family needed her the most when her young husband died of polio leaving her with four children at age 28. Listen to her stories of how she made her way through this difficult time and what other lessons she learned along the way. Her family has grown to include six children, six stepchildren, nineteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She is an inspiration to everyone who knows her.
