November 6 & 7, 2017 / Monday & Tuesday
9:30 am – 1:30 pm Learning to Draw
Jacobina’s class is more than just making an accurate drawing. It is a transformational exercise. In fact, it is not about making a picture at all, but about the process. This class is for accomplished artists as well as beginners. It is about activating the right side of the brain. This is where our creative thinking resides. Whole brain thinking has the potential to change the world. By activating the right brain so that it works in conjunction with the left brain, we are able to unlock powerful thought processes. Creativity is most simply defined as the use of the imagination to generate original ideas. Right brain activation may be conscious or subconscious, but cannot be forced simply by the desire to think creatively. Jacobina teaches a drawing method as a means to activate the right brain. This was originated by Dr. B Edwards and it is more needed than ever. By continuing to draw accurately you keep the right brain engaged. When the right brain is full awakened, huge strides can be taken towards attaining goals.
What you can expect from the class is that you go home with an accurate drawing of your own hand, but more, with a different learning experience that might change your outlook on the world.
